Since 2022, the Vienna Giant Ferris Wheel has been home to an extraordinary new attraction: Platform 9. Here, adventurous visitors can experience the world’s oldest Ferris wheel and Austria’s capital from a completely new perspective.
Standing on an open steel structure with a glass floor, you’ll rise up to 64.75 metres above the rooftops of Vienna. Safely secured, you can enjoy uninterrupted panoramic views and an exhilarating sensation of height – an experience previously reserved for the engineers who built the Vienna Giant Ferris Wheel back in 1897.
Throughout the entire ride, you’ll be accompanied by our trained operators. They not only ensure your safety but also share fascinating stories and interesting facts about the Vienna Giant Ferris Wheel.
Season: Saturdays and Sundays from March to September.

Bookable from the age of 14. Excluded from the ride are intoxicated persons or persons under the influence of drugs, persons with diseases of the brain and nervous system (e.g. epilepsy, severe physical and mental disabilities), persons with fear of heights, panic attacks, motion sickness, severe cardiovascular diseases, as well as persons with spinal injuries. Max. body weight: 130 kg.
